Today we discuss whether to visit the Astrid Lindgren World or go on a moose safari and decide against the strong girl with the red braids (apparently all performances are only in Swedish) and drive to Virum Moose Park after a short game of PitPat (only 9 lanes).
Here, a clever farmer has converted his property into a moose tourist safari park with an attached souvenir shop, and surprisingly, it is teeming with German counterparts. Unfortunately, the next departure is already full, so we have to wait for one and a half hours - no problem, the kids are hungry anyway (never open a mountain cheese in a motorhome - or at least eat it all!). And so, time passes quickly until we are allowed on the tractor train that drives through the moose enclosure.
Everyone is still supplied with moose feed and the bumpy ride into the enclosure begins. The animals actually come very close and stick their heads, including the antlers, into the vehicle - even Samuel dares to stroke the animal. After 45 minutes, the ride is already over, some shopping is done in the souvenir shop (moose meat is unfortunately not offered here), and then we continue towards Vimmerby and Linköping.
We quickly make a stop at Coop to buy dinner (Flo has finally found a can of stinky fish as a souvenir - the Swedish national dish Surströmming: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surstr%C3%B6mming).
Afterwards, we find a nice place to camp wild by the lake, Asunden.
