La Fortuna - Arenal Volcano

Today our journey took us to the much more tropical area around Arenal Volcano. The trip was as adventurous as always (unpredictable traffic jams, average speed of 50 km/h, and narrow passages), but we take it easy and relaxed like the Costa Ricans. Afterwards, we were rewarded with a beautiful, lush green landscape and a dreamy hotel. Spending some time by the pool here is really fun, as you can observe incredibly many birds, discover a gigantic variety of plants, and enjoy the view. By the way, Arenal is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. The grand finale followed in the evening with a night tour through 'Frog's Heaven'.
