Welcome to Radiator Springs

Yay Wi-Fi at Walmart!! Time for me to update you. It's Saturday afternoon and we've already experienced quite a bit. In the morning, my parents were invited by the friendly ladies at the Elks Clubhouse for coffee and a salted praline... I got one too, okay... definitely something special.

As we were driving, I briefly chatted with newcomers. They told me about snow towards Flagstaff, and sure enough, we were not even half an hour along Oak Creek and suddenly everything was white. In the middle of Arizona, it felt like we were in 🇨🇦. But then it got warmer. We made a stop in Seligman, one of the highlights on Route 66. This place served as the inspiration for Disney's Radiator Springs from the movie CARS, and I'm especially excited about a few metal signs that I was able to buy there in various gift shops.

Now we're in Kingman and I'm sitting comfortably in Walmart, able to write to you... later we're heading to Chloride. Ute and Robert have been there before and met someone who hosts a line dance party with live music every weekend. We called them this morning and we're very welcome, so the boots and hats will be put to use again... we can also stay overnight there for free, wonderful! Tomorrow we're going to the Hoover Dam and the sun is shining again!!! :-)
