To Narawntapu National Park via Launceston

Our morning search for a platypus was not successful. But the peaceful atmosphere in this beautiful nature (Myrtle Park) was still soothing.

After replenishing our supplies in Launceston, we visited the Hillwood Berry Farm. After picking a basket of strawberries ourselves (and of course tasting them generously), we enjoyed a "berry breakfast". Birgit had pavlova and I had a mixed berry muffin. I can't remember the last time I had such a delicious sweet treat!

Next, we visited Sea Horse World in Beauty Point. Seahorses are bred here for aquariums all over the world. You can follow the development of a seahorse from birth to shipping.

There is also a "petting aquarium" - poor fragile creatures!

In the late afternoon, we finally arrive at Narawntapu National Park. It is also known as the Serengeti of Tasmania. No wonder, because there is no other place where creatures crawl and leap like here. During our twilight walk, rustling and hopping surround us!
