The journey first takes you to MacMillan Provincial Park with its ancient trees and rainforest-like structure. Further on to beautiful lakes with crystal clear water and partially snow-capped mountains to the Pacific Rim. You can reach Tofino at the very end of the island group via Port Alberni.

A visit to Long Beach is planned on the way. There is a lot of old driftwood here, waiting to decompose naturally...

A short walk to the harbor in Tofino, combined with grocery shopping, rounds off the day, and then the journey back to Port Alberni, where an overnight stay is booked.
