Enjoying the last days — beach, pool & massage

ප්‍රකාශිතයි: 26.03.2024

We're ending our time on Koh Phangan the way we started it. With relaxation, living day by day, just soaking everything in.

We're now halfway through our journey and as silly as it may sound, considering we still have 5 weeks ahead of us, we can feel that time is slowly running out.

Or maybe that's phrased wrong. 11 weeks just felt endless, 5 weeks are totally graspable. A big part of our pre-planned goals has been accomplished, in two days we'll already meet Mom and Dad — which mentally always marked the end of the journey for me.

Time flies and sometimes that hurts a bit, especially in the moments you enjoy the most. In the moments you'd like to hold on to forever. But it has its advantages too. Because it personally makes me even more aware of how grateful I am to experience this and I remind myself to soak in and hold on to every moment here — at least in my thoughts.

But don't think that I'm already thinking about the journey home — Siar isn't either. We've talked about it and realized that we both feel it now but we shouldn't constantly dwell on it, because it would prevent us from fully enjoying it here.

So we continue to live day by day and enjoy the perfect life. It just feels good not to think about tomorrow or even the day after tomorrow.

Yesterday, I had a beach walk, a massage, and poolside reading on my schedule. Siar spent the morning with Kian in the room — which is allowed on vacation and must be done now and then if desired.

So I had some Mama-free time and could really relax.

We spent the afternoon together at the pool and Kian was so tired after splashing around that he fell asleep right on the lounger. So sweet.

In the evening, we had dinner at the Indian restaurant and a truly divine Mango Sticky Rice for dessert.

Tomorrow, the same is on the schedule again — with packing added. Because on Wednesday we're flying for a stopover to Samui, before flying to Phuket early Thursday to meet Mom and Dad in Khao Lak later in the day.
