According to the motto “we’ll see what works” we turned back today before the end of the tour.
Hardanger National Park is teeming with waterfalls, but there are 4 particularly beautiful ones to explore from Kinsarvik. Key data were 10 km and 700 m, plus another 6 km to the hiking car park and back, as we wanted to leave the camper there. The weather was mixed but dry. Rain was reported from the afternoon.
When we reached the second waterfall we decided to turn back. We had already been on the road for 2 hours, the weather was becoming more unstable and the surface was becoming increasingly slippery.
Shortly before we reached the campsite it started to rain - everything was right.
Although we were able to have dinner outside, we decided to use the communal kitchen for the first time. Contrary to expectations, there was nothing going on and we were able to eat in peace (including the remaining fries).
Sven went for a quick run before dinner and Michel took a shower.
Again a lot of program for the day, but without stress. I'm slowly feeling like I can slow down and I've accepted that with Michel we have to be flexible and spontaneous. On this holiday, “sometimes less is more (especially in terms of kilometers) is true.
