#Tag9+10: Two days one night

Yesterday and today I took a two-day tour in the Khao Sok National Park. These have been the two most impressive days in Thailand so far.

It started with a longboat ride of about 40 minutes on the Ratchprapha. We were able to see the incredible karst formations and the jungle. At the end of the ride, we reached floating houses where we also spent the night. After lunch, we took the longboat to the beginning of a hiking route that leads to a cave. However, you cannot imagine the hiking trail like in German forests. It's more like really good mountain bike trails, which are crossed by water streams from time to time. The cave itself was fantastic. First of all, I have to say that it is a cave with a water stream, which means that at times I stood in the water up to my chin. The stalactites and stalagmites, which form there due to limestone deposits, were particularly impressive. Another, not necessarily my favorite story, were the eight-legged creatures of all sizes that were there... However, what was very impressive were the hundreds of bats hanging from the ceiling in a section of the cave.

The next morning we started the day with another longboat ride to see some animals. What we saw were monkeys. How they enjoyed the morning hustle and bustle in the jungle.

On the way back to the pier, we stopped again at a cave, which this time was without water. Here too, we were able to see stalactites and stalagmites again. Some bats also called this cave their home.

After 2 beautiful days in the jungle, I will now enjoy the last day in the national park before continuing to Krabi on Monday.
