'The greatest sightseeing attraction is the world. Take a look at it.' (Kurt Tucholsky).

The past few days we have spent the mornings and evenings planning our trip. We usually never plan far in advance, but see where it takes us. We have been on the road for four months and we feel fantastic. The decision to go on a world trip and leave our comfort zones was the best decision we could make!

Since we are meeting friends in Zanzibar in October and are traveling for two weeks with Madlin's parents in Kenya in November, long-term planning made sense this time.

We are currently traveling through Sri Lanka. We both consider this country to be an absolute highlight. We love being here, experiencing the culture, encountering the warmth of the locals, and exploring the country. Not to mention the good food! We will stay here for another two weeks. On September 4th, we will fly to the Maldives for 6 nights. After that, we will return to Sri Lanka. We don't have any concrete plans for this time yet, but we know that we want to go back to Trincomalee. We really liked it here. The combination of activities in the morning and relaxation on the beach in the afternoon was perfect for us personally.

On September 29th, we will fly to Dubai for three days. We are really looking forward to experiencing a completely different culture and seeing the city. Dubai is known for its luxurious shops and high-tech architecture. Plus, the vibrant nightlife. After that, we will continue to Zanzibar. We are so excited to meet our friends, have a great evening, and exchange a lot.

At the end of October, we will travel to Kenya, where we will soon meet Madlin's parents. We are really looking forward to the time together.

Our rough plan goes until mid-November. It's crazy how time flies! When we say goodbye to Madlin's parents, we will focus on an important question: Where will we spend Christmas?
