Colombia - probably the most dangerous country on my journey

I deliberately took a few days before writing something about Colombia. It was important for me to first get a feel for this country.

Honestly, what do you think when you hear Colombia?

Drugs? War? Murder? Will she come home alive?

Yes, definitely. I ventured into the lion's den and flew directly from Panama to Medellin. Just 25 years ago, this city was considered the most dangerous in the world. The drug lord Pablo Escobar had it firmly under his control and murder, torture, and attacks were the order of the day. But not only in Medellin did drug cartels and left and right paramilitary groups fight for power, chaos reigned throughout Colombia.

And now, this blonde girl with blue-green eyes is alone in the city and still alive? Yes, I can reassure you. We have the wrong idea about Colombia today. For example, Medellin is considered one of the most innovative cities in the world, even ahead of New York. Although you shouldn't go to the city center at night, there is absolutely no danger during the day. By the way, this warning applies to all the cities we have visited so far. Of course, at the age of 20, you don't go to bed at seven and we have been going out several times. Nothing has happened so far!!

But back to Komumbien, tourists don't have much to fear here. On the contrary, Colombians are happy to see us tourists. We are a sign to them that their country is safe and livable again.
