Unfortunately, the day didn't start off so well. While swimming at the lake, where we only had our towel with us, our key was stolen. We contacted Oliver, our host, through the guy from the tourist office, but he couldn't be reached. Luckily, after half an hour, another guy from the hotel was able to unlock our room. All of our belongings were still there, but we didn't fully trust the situation, so we took our things with us to breakfast.
By the way, Oliver replied to us in the afternoon. He had to attend a calf birth on the farm. We paid 50 Quetzales to get a new key made and on our request, we changed rooms for the next night. After a refreshing rain shower in the afternoon, we went kayaking and ended up in the middle of the lake, away from the hustle and bustle of the city... simply idyllic... with amazing mental images that we couldn't capture.
We returned to the harbor just in time for a beautiful sunset.
