It's time, our first 3-day hike, our backpacks are packed and we're heading to the ferry to Stewart Island. And then my motivation was already gone... The ferry ride was a nightmare, it was so rough that the boat was more in the waves than on the waves and almost everyone was hanging over their barf bags, well thanks a lot.🤢
But then it got really beautiful, 3 days of just nature, mud, mountains, ocean and much more.
We slept in huts and hiked during the day, it was really exhausting but truly worth it. We didn't see any kiwis or northern lights, but we met some people and got some blisters, but it was really beautiful and I was at one of the most southern places in the world.😍
The ferry ride back was fortunately much more pleasant and we were looking forward to a huge pizza, after mainly eating instant noodles during the hike.🍕
