The first week started with a 5-hour flight to Qatar (42° at 01:30 in the morning), 3-hour layover and another 11-hour flight to Bali. Very funny. Very strong sardine feeling. Good food. Pleasant.

The week in Bali flew by. The room was great. Hotel, pool area, weather, atmosphere and massages as well. Only the typical Indonesian food tastes as if little children had thrown something together. Pudding with sour/salty milk, beef fried with chocolate/peanut/sugar/salt sauce, coconut milk with salt and vinegar... and much more.

We read the wedding newspaper with delight on the second day and would like to thank the creators and everyone who contributed once again! :D It was a pleasure to read how others reflect on our lives. The pool guests were constantly annoyed by our roaring laughter.

What we have learned about Bali:
- Every resident offers small sacrifices in the form of square bags of food in front of every door of the country every day... It is probably understandable that this creates trash and smell after some time ;)
- There are almost no clocks in the rooms...
- Every Indonesian apologizes and says thank you at least twice when greeting :D
- Work (like at the Austrian road maintenance) is always carried out by at least 4 people, of whom 3 must be apprentices who just watch the other one.
- People are very very polite and courteous here!
- On TV/movies, any romantic physical contact, kisses, too much skin, contact between unmarried people? is censored or pixelated (Hollywood movies become surprisingly short...)
- Typical Indonesian dance is mainly characterized by funny movements of the fingers, eyes and face: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiJJg_KSXUM

Jet skiing, playing tennis, massages and manicures, Indonesian buffets with local dance performances, swimming at 7:00 in the morning, windy beach picnic with crab feeding, burger evening with fiery tequila shots... that's roughly how our week went.

Since this morning we have been on the island of Lembongan where we are enjoying another 7 days of beach and culture.

But now let's let the pictures and videos speak for themselves:

NOTE: Since the internet here feels like trying to push a chewing gum through a pinhole, we had to find another solution to upload the photos. Therefore, here is the link to the hopefully soon uploaded first photos...: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_6nDp69Y6H0eUZjVDZkb3IycHc?usp=sharing
