After breakfast, get in the car and head to Hana. On a 33-mile (53 km) stretch, we encountered 620 curves and 59 bridges, 49 of which are one-lane. The Road to Hana is considered the most beautiful coastal road in Hawaii. As we made our way to Marker 0, where the Road to Hana begins, we spotted surfers at one of the surf beaches. And there were quite a few who really know how to do it. But for us, the highlight was an area where about 25 sea turtles were lying on the beach in the sun.

While visiting Twin Falls, which are actually three falls, it was time to cool off. We put on our swimsuits and jumped into the pool under the waterfall. We've never swum under a waterfall before. What an experience. After a few more stops and some time, we treated ourselves to a BBQ, pineapples, and coconuts at one of the numerous food trucks along the way. The BBQ plate was served on sugar cane and banana leaves. The salad was made of fern. Normally, we don't take photos of food, but we'll make an exception here. 😊 It wasn't cheap, but it tasted great.

Later, we had coffee and banana bread and coconut bread. Then we checked into our accommodation. Finally, we made it before dark.
