Hello everyone!

Today we had planned to rent a buggy or golf cart (there are a lot of them here). But because of the water on the streets, it's currently not possible. Oh well, no problem, we'll just walk a bit ☺️

Our next item on the to-do list was to organize a dive for the next few days. We asked at several places and you won't believe it: There is not a single diving center on the whole island! Apparently, the water here is too murky... What a shame....

But we discovered a tour to see bioluminescent plankton! There's a tour with a buggy and the guide showed us exactly on the map where this place is. Now we want to go there tomorrow evening on our own and see if we can find it.

Next, we had a leisurely breakfast and sat on the beach for a while.

We decided to rent two bicycles and explore the island a bit. But first, we had a cocktail at a cute beach bar. We waited half an hour to get the drinks and then waited another half an hour for the second round.

By the time we finished, it was already 3pm and we changed our plan: quickly go back to the accommodation and book tickets. I read about a show and saw pictures of a place that imitates Pandora from the movie "Avatar". I really like the movie and the idea of seeing something similar live appealed to me. Kevin agreed, so it was decided: in the evening, we will go to this show including dinner.

Shortly after, we went out again to do some shopping and have a little snack, as it would be a while before everything started.

In the blink of an eye, it was 7pm and we had an hour left before we wanted to leave.

We took a golf cart taxi and the ride was really funny! Through the huge puddles, over stones, and from one hole to the next.

Once there, everything looked really great! Each couple/family was led to their table one by one and got a welcome drink. When the show started, it was quite exciting at first, with dancing and singing. Then there was an intermission and the first of a total of five courses. The food was.... special.... The first course was some kind of fish, the second was octopus, the third luckily had some meat, the fourth was meat with shrimp, and in the end, there was a mixed ice cream.... Honestly, both of us lost our appetite already with the first course. I tried helplessly to hide the 90% of uneaten food on the plate and Kevin forced himself to finish most of it. The show also became less and less impressive and in the end, we were just waiting to leave. At dessert, we finally stood up and left the venue. To our surprise, our waiter brought a bill with a 10% tip. Honestly, we are really not stingy, but the whole thing was ridiculously overpriced for what was offered....

During the show, they had already called a taxi for us and you won't believe it... Outside, those taxis passed by, but didn't stop, becaaaause: they were not the requested one! So we waited another 30 minutes until finally the requested taxi arrived!

The turbulent ride started again. When we arrived at the destination, the driver suddenly wanted to charge double the price from the way there! We explained to him that the way there was much cheaper, then the driver got pretty angry. He actually wanted to drive us back! Fortunately, getting off these golf carts is so easy....! In the end, we met halfway, but the driver was clearly not happy....

So, now it's 00:15 and we think we've had enough adventures for today ☺️

We'll check in again tomorrow, including the pictures from today 😉

Until theeeeen!
