Tag 284 - spontaneous extension on Cozumel

Happy New Year to all of you ☺️

Yesterday we had a really nice evening! We ate, drank, laughed, danced and met a nice couple from the USA ☺️

At 3 o'clock in the morning we got into a taxi and drove to our accommodation.

Today we had to suffer a bit for the alcohol from yesterday. Around 10:30 am we managed to get out of bed and had 1.5 hours left to get ready, pack and check out.

Actually, the plan was to go back to the mainland. But the host of the next accommodation simply didn't give us any information about the check-in and didn't respond to our messages.

We saw no reason to hurry, because we had to wait anyway - whether on the mainland or on this sweet island.

Once again we drove to the south of the island, as we had some cool ideas for photos with the drone. But when we arrived there, it was too windy.... We sat down in the bar and had a soft drink each. Originally we wanted to take the ferry at 1 pm, then at 3 pm, but at that time we were still sitting in the bar in the south ☺️

After that we drove along the beach road and stopped wherever we liked. Nothing is for free here, so we drank more this afternoon than probably in the whole last week ☺️

But we saw some beaches, reefs and cute locations!

When we still hadn't heard anything from the host at 5 pm, we reported this to Airbnb and started planning again. We unanimously decided not to leave the island today. By now we were both quite tired and just longed for a shower. We booked a hotel for tonight and a really nice cottage for tomorrow at Airbnb ☺️

We reached our hotel and were grateful for the comfortable bed and the warm shower ☺️

At around 9 pm we went to a restaurant again and treated ourselves to a delicious burger ☺️

Now it's already 11 pm, we're back in the hotel and, as usual, sitting comfortably on the balcony.

We'll be back tomorrow and we'll also take care of the pictures from today ☺️
