Day 19 - Renting a scooter & Praia da Rocha

Hello everyone!

Our day started again with breakfast at Mama's hotel. The buffet wasn't as good as yesterday's, but we all found something :). Right after that, we went to a motorcycle rental. Since Mama didn't have her driver's license with her, we rented two 125cc scooters and she sat behind me. Since the weather wasn't really cooperating today, we soon got cold and sought refuge in the old town. There we strolled through the narrow streets and had lunch until the sun finally came out. We got back on the scooters and rode around as we pleased. There was a road closed at one point, but we easily bypassed the barrier with our two-wheeled vehicles. There began a bumpy road with many potholes and in the middle there was a puddle the size of a pond! Kevin really wanted to drive through it, I was hesitant at first. But he just went for it and our scooter had to get to the other side somehow, so: close your eyes and go for it! Everything worked out and it was soooo much fun!

We continued to the famous beach 'Praia da Rocha' and enjoyed the few rays of sun that this day brought. The beach is really recommended! Everything is very clean, beautiful sand, right between the coast, with lots of little shops and restaurants. There we treated ourselves to a break from the exhausting day with margaritas and French fries :D

In the evening, we returned the scooters and Mama decided to walk back to the hotel from there (about 1 km). We agreed on the meeting time for tomorrow and then we drove back to our overnight spot. Once we arrived, we laid down for a while, we were completely exhausted. Diana and her boyfriend Dani will probably arrive later - if it's not too late, we'll have a drink and chat. If not, we'll make ourselves comfortable just the two of us :)

Tomorrow we're going on a boat tour to the 'Benagil Caves', which we're all looking forward to. You can be excited about the pictures! ;)
