Day 6 - Bali Ubud

प्रकाशित: 23.08.2018

Day 6 started today at 2:30am. We took a taxi to Mount Batur and were greeted by our guide there. Equipped with headlamps, we started our ascent of the volcano.

After 1 hour and 20 minutes, we were relieved to reach the summit. The path up was not as easy as we had expected.

Since we were faster than the sun (thanks to our guide who took us on the steepest and shortest path), we were able to enjoy a hot chocolate “comfortably”.

As you can see, our group was not well-prepared. Who would have thought it could be so cold in Bali?

Unfortunately, the view wasn't great today. But we still enjoyed the unique experience.

As a snack, our guide cooked banana toast and eggs.

We took many beautiful photos and after a short monkey feeding session, we made our way back down to the valley.

Since our guide was the most beautiful and muscular, we didn't walk down, we RAN!
The statement of a German-speaking tourist: why are you running? That's not a vacation if you run so much... 😅

But our group is young and athletic and we made it back to the valley without any problems. We will probably feel the muscle soreness tomorrow. 😅

Afterwards, we went back to our hotel rooms to catch up on the lack of sleep.

We spent the rest of the day by the pool (except for Romi. She slept through the whole afternoon 😅)

We spent our last evening in Ubud, where we shopped for souvenirs and had dinner.

The last sunset in Ubud. 😍

Tomorrow, the group will split up: some will spend the day at the Blue Lagoon in Padang Bai, while others will continue to Seminyak after lunch.
