The long drive to the Grand Canyon

Now there is a long tour ahead of us. The drive from Yellowstone to the Grand Canyon takes 12 to 13 hours. We made our first stop in Salt Lake City at 2:30 p.m., which was about half the distance. After about 6 hours of driving, we all had to stretch our feet and went shopping and dinner at the City Creek Mall.

Afterwards we stocked up on food and drinks for the campground at the Grand Canyon before we wanted to shorten another 3 hours from the total route at 8:30 p.m. This means we still have enough time to take a look at Bryce Canyon at our leisure tomorrow.
