From Haderslev to Kolding

It has not stopped raining tonight. I'm taking my time this morning, hoping that the tent will dry a bit in the wind. The journey today won't be long, only 30 km to Kolding. I have arranged to meet Oldrich from Couchsurfing there. How I'm looking forward to a night indoors😇

I pedal laboriously, battling against the wind and uphill. I almost go off the road during a gust. And now it starts raining again🙉 I stop my vehicle under a tree and wait until the rain cloud passes. Then I dare to venture back onto the road... and now the front tire is flat again😭 Everything is going wrong today 😣 I try pumping up the tire, and it seems to work. Too soon to celebrate! After about five kilometers, the air is out again🙄 But now I'm standing in front of a gas station and could have a roof over my head in the rain. I change the tube, I bought a spare tube just a few days ago🙏 The weather is so indecisive, it looks like it's going to rain again soon. The good thing is that the wind quickly blows the clouds away, so it never rains for long. I gather my courage and continue my journey to Kolding.

I arrange to meet my host at 6:00 PM. He welcomes me very kindly. He cooks a delicious soup for us and gives me valuable tips for my further trip through Denmark. I learn about the Marguerite Route, a bicycle path through particularly beautiful nature. There are camping spots available all over the country where you can set up a tent for free. There are also so-called shelters, wooden huts where you can spend the night protected from the wind with a sleeping bag. Here is the link: udinaturen.de. It's once again a divine gift!
