We were picked up from our hostel by bus for a tour to Cape Reinga. We were greeted by a very lively bus driver who entertained the already seated bus passengers.
Our first stop took us to the Manginangina Forest and a small walk where we could admire the centuries-old mammoth trees.
Continuing on the bus after a longer drive, we reached the 90 Miles Beach. The bus drove directly along the beach and we could enjoy the view. During a short stop, we were able to satisfy the need to capture this beautiful moment with the camera.
From endless green landscapes with wild horses, we arrived at the Te Paki dunes after a short time - sandboarding awaits!
After a torturous climb in desert temperatures, we threw ourselves down the sand with the board. We didn't have the stamina for more than 2 climbs anyway. The sand was already sticking to all parts of our bodies.
And then it finally happened, often searched for, long awaited: the Cape. Just as beautiful as on the internet.
Words fail us to describe this place. From lush green to deep blue of the sea, endless expanse and seas crashing into each other - this place has something magical. One is torn between filling the camera's memory card or putting it aside to enjoy the uniqueness of this place.
Conclusion: We have caught the New Zealand fever!ЁЯШН
