After a hearty white sausage breakfast - albeit without sweet mustard - our journey started punctually at 10 o'clock. First stop: tire pressure check at the Shell in Kaufbeuren. Miraculously, it matched the tire pressure recommended on the tank cap for fully loaded Volvo cars. Does that mean I had too much air in the tires for the past months? As long as it's right now. Just 30 km later, Leon stopped again to give me a hug. Apparently, the fear of traveling had caught up with me. Consequently, the atmosphere on board was chilly and only relaxed again in the traffic jam around Munich. Deceleration settled in and after a good seven hours of driving, we reached our first destination: Dresden, where we stayed with Ronny and Dorit. The two took care of the evening program. After a baroque city tour by car and the realization that red traffic lights are merely a suggestion for drivers, we had dinner at a Spanish restaurant and then fell into a deep sleep.
