Yes, this Ulriken Mountain. Ulriken is the highest of the seven mountains surrounding the center of the Norwegian city of Bergen. The summit is 643 meters above sea level and can be climbed by 1333 steps. A good basic condition coupled with alpine experience. That's what it said in the description. So we packed everything and off we went. After about 100 steps, we realized that this was an extremely difficult hike. It was steep uphill, only stairs. For Bolle and Henriette it was no problem, Papa and Mama struggled up. After about 1200 steps, it suddenly became very slippery and without spikes there was no chance. With the peak within reach, we chose the second-to-last exit, because slipping with a child in the carrier was too dangerous for us. Still a great experience. The way back led down to the valley along a stream, through the forest.

Then we freshened up and had lunch in the beautiful old town of Bergen, which was very tasty. The journey continued on the next ferry to Lavik, where we also spent the night. Tomorrow the next highlight awaits. We are going to the Jostedal Glacier.
