Chapter 10.5 - From Retirement to Party Beach

Breakfast in the stomach, I took a seat on the balcony and looked through the net. Book ferry to Gili Air. Look for accommodation. Probably a hostel. I wish to have company of young people.

Biting smoke blows into my face. Every day at 9:00am someone burns garbage near the hotel 😝

Will go to Kuta later, let's see how the area has changed.

Need to quickly get my Visa card from my cooler box aka. the room.

2:02pm

I'm back in bed. Somehow I need that right now. Probably going to have lunch at Warung and then go to Kuta for the sunset.

Once again sitting at the Indian restaurant. Having Mushroom Soup, Garlic Naan, Palak Paneer with rice and fresh juice made from watermelon, pineapple, lemon and something else that I can't remember.

Kuta Beach was crowded, noisy and not at all as I remembered it. Well, the passing of time...

One way with a gojek motorbike driver costs 36k Rupiah, about €2.25. 30-minute ride directly to the beach. I found the return trip cool because the lights just look beautiful. I found the ride there cool because I was driven through narrow alleys in the neighborhood. It's interesting what is still considered a 'street' here :D

Now I'll eat and then go to the hotel. I'm somehow tired from watching the sunset and walking along the beach.
