33,000 steps - that's what my watch showed me last night. I now know the old town and streets quite well, but of course I haven't seen everything yet. My third and last day in Vilnius began with breakfast and I realized that I had to think carefully about my food. What can I still use up, what fits in my luggage - thoughts that must sound familiar to my parents from their childhood holidays ЁЯШД
One of the flagships of Vilnius is the university. With its various faculties, it is spread across the entire (inner) city. Old facades, winding corridors but also open spaces and magnificent buildings. I think this university is very historical and a nice place to study. Would anyone like to come here with Erasmus? ЁЯЩВ
My second goal that day was to cross the Neris again and get a glimpse of a surrounding district. And it actually looks completely normal there - commercial buildings, residential buildings, etc. You can see for yourself. What is not normal, however, is the quality of the stay, with lots of great places to sit, the green spaces, the sports areas, the positive atmosphere in the city, etc. The good weather certainly plays a part in this, but it feels relaxed, calm and relaxed to be in Vilnius.
I made a spontaneous detour to the prison, which was in operation until 2019. It is now being reused as an art and culture site. Highly recommended and I ate a very tasty pizza dog there ЁЯдд
To end the day, I ordered the national dish Cepelenai. It was also great and reminded me a little of the potato dumplings on Christmas Day. I still had a strange feeling when I thought about the next day. Because I definitely don't want to miss the only train of the day to Riga at 6:30 a.m. ЁЯШЕ
Peculiarities in Vilnius: what Lieferando is for us, Wolt is here - absolute monopoly & if you're wondering where Toyota has a sales market - definitely here ЁЯШГ
