Rainforest World Music Festival 2018 in Sarawak (Borneo)

It has been several days since our last post and since the last entry we were still in Vietnam, in Halong Bay, and then we flew to the island of Borneo via KL.

The reason is simple: in Kuching (Sarawak, Borneo) we met our two colleagues Daniel and Daniel and together with them we visited the sensational Rainforest World Music Festival 2018 at the Sarawak Cultural Village for three days.

In short, it was simply awesome. From Friday to Sunday, the weather was great and the atmosphere among the nearly 20,000 local and foreign visitors was absolutely peaceful and joyful. We made a lot of funny acquaintances, learned things (from blowpipe shooting to local liquor), and listened to great music.

During the day, a variety of exciting workshops, smaller music performances, or just a cozy gathering in the beautiful area around the lake and not far from the sea were on the agenda. And every evening, a new party with international acts took place.
