Our favorite Asian city, Hoi An

One reason to visit Vietnam again was the city of Hoi An. We were there when a fierce typhoon swept through the coast of Vietnam. Thankfully, we were not even in the main center, but the city was still flooded. We only had one evening to stroll through the beautiful old town, and it rained continuously. The next day, the entire city was underwater, and we could only spend our days in the hostel.

This time, we definitely had more luck and it was definitely worth it. And my impression from last time was confirmed, at least for me, Hoi An is the most beautiful Asian city we have been to... The narrow alleys, the cozy restaurants, the colorful lanterns, and the river, which is a real eye-catcher at night with all the colorful floating lights. Unfortunately, we didn't make it last time, but this time we let a light float for Emil on the river =)

We spent a total of six days in Hoi An and really enjoyed it. One day, we rented a scooter and drove to the beach, which we couldn't go to last time either. Anyone who sees the pictures sees an absolute dream beach. And it was!!! However, even in the shade, it was 36 degrees and we could barely bear the heat. We could only walk on the sand with shoes, otherwise, I'm sure we would have gotten blisters on our feet^^ We only stayed a few hours and believe it or not, we preferred our air-conditioned room.

Tomorrow we will continue to the next country that we are really looking forward to: Sri Lanka!!
