Zadar zur Insel Pag / Novalia

प्रकाशित: 20.05.2024

This morning I went to the laundromat after breakfast, it was urgently necessary. While the laundry was in the machine I took care of the bike, it squeaks in several places.
A spoke breaks at the back, spoke fixed so that it does not go sideways.
Chain cleaned and freshly oiled, bottle holder screwed back on tightly.
The luggage carrier screw was loose and the thread on the frame was defective. I temporarily fixed it with cable ties and it's holding up so far, otherwise I'll have to dismantle it to save weight....
Today's route had everything again: large roads, tarmac paths, dirt roads and sections where you had to push your bike. The weather was dangerous for sunburn, between 33 and 35 degrees according to the digital display on the bike speedometer and sometimes a strong headwind. My left leg had a slight sunburn but no noticeable reduction in performance. I actually wanted to go back to the mainland and to the next island tomorrow, but I didn't do it because the nearest possible places to stay overnight would have been too far away.
Now to the island of Pag, initially a barren island in the south, just stones, no comparison to the previous islands. Further north I even drove through an oak forest. Here they sell cheese everywhere on the side of the road. I'm in Novalia now and will see tomorrow morning which ferry takes bikes.

Let's see... see you tomorrow.
