Woolleys Bay in Matapouri

... we wake up in the morning light. It seems the Milky Way didn't work out so well. After a relaxed breakfast, we finally want to get going (we are – like the other days – the last ones still on the campsite). Just as we are about to turn onto the main road, a road machine rolls right in front of us. A helpful local explains when we can continue and tells us about his home, Tokerau Beach (which is already planned as our next overnight stay). On the way to Tokerau Beach, we drive through Kawakawa, where we make a short stop and admire the Hundertwasser toilets. In general, this little town is characterized by Hundertwasser's works, as he lived there until his death in 2000. In the evening at the campsite, we offer two German girls to eat our noodles. So we have a nice conversation with them. After doing the dishes in the evening, we fall tired into bed - the sea air really takes its toll.
