At the beginning of the week, we booked a small boat with Captain Marijan.
We met this morning at 10 o'clock in Poljana and started a wonderful boat tour almost around the entire island of Losinj.
Captain Marijan showed us turquoise bays where we could see the fish with the naked eye, but even better with diving goggles and snorkel.
He took us to small caves and an approximately 8-meter high cliff, from where all of us (except Noemi) dared to jump into the water.
We sailed past lonely islands and numerous yachts, and for lunch we anchored at the island of Ilovik and had a great tuna steak.
Marijan took us on a walk through the idyllic Ilovik (where about 80 people live - no cars, no garbage, no dead since the cemetery is on the neighboring island...), but the children were already pushing to get back on the boat.
On the way back towards Mali Losinj, Robert was the only one of us four who dared to swim through a relatively small opening into a cave. Inside there was a statue of Mary.
In one last enchanting bay, we swam and snorkelled once again before bidding farewell to the truly kind-hearted Marijan and his boat with heavy hearts.
In the evening, Walter and Maja also said goodbye to us, and Zeljko, our host, came by with Slivovitz and sweet handmade sheep for the children.
Another eventful week is now behind us, and we are looking forward to the last few days in and around Sibenik.
