Porec Croatia 🇭🇷🚴‍♀️🚴 or the search for childhood memories

It rained and thundered all night. That's pretty noisy in the camper.

The weather is pretty gloomy.

We decide to do some morning exercises. Always along the water.

Breakfast in the camper for the first time in the morning because it's too cold outside. Hopefully, this doesn't become a habit.

We take our bikes and head to Porec. It should be 5 km to Porec... we ride along the water and it becomes 15 km. The 5 km are probably as the crow flies. We explore every spit of land because Jürgen was here on vacation as a child and wants to find the spot where he was with his family back then. Unfortunately, all the spits of land look the same.

But it was certainly one of the spits of land.

Porec is crowded, probably because the weather is not suitable for swimming. A not nice tourist hustle and bustle.

The old town of Porec is very beautiful, but as I said, also very crowded. We liked Novigrad better yesterday.

We may not find the flying ice balls that Jürgen remembers from the past, but we still treat ourselves to a delicious ice cream.

A well-deserved cold drink after almost 30 km of cycling.

In the evening, we drive into Funtana to have dinner. A quiet little town with a few pubs.

There are Racnici and Cevapcici

Each portion costs around 7€. We pay 20 euros including drinks.👌

We missed the sunset because of that. But we're still sitting by the sea for a while. It's freezing cold.

No mild summer nights in the south. Fortunately, it's nice and warm in the camper today.
