On Sunday, departure from Bad Gastein heading north was on the program. (We also had a desire to go south again.)
We wanted to somehow reach Hessen and in the end we ended up in Alsfeld with the onset of darkness. On the outskirts of a motorhome parking lot, we spent the last night in the bus for now. Before that, a bit of exercise in the form of a walk through the deserted Alsfeld city center. Only San Marino was not deserted, but really crowded. It was buzzing at the apparently best Italian restaurant in town and we liked that. The pizza was delicious, the salad crispy, the wine excellent.
And: The wine was again at prices that you are happy to pay. After Austria keeps the prices but halves the quantities (1/8 for 7 €), in San Marino we got a quarter for four.
T 5 Orange has easily covered the last stretch back to Neuharlingersiel and now deserves an oil change after more than 7000 touring kilometers.
We are now changing our activities for the time being and will go from travelers to sedentary ones, hoping for spring in the north and dreaming of the last and the next trip!
