After enjoying Sydney a little bit, it drew us out into the wilderness :)
Public transportation is super cheap here, so we went to the Blue Mountains National Park, about 2 hours from Sydney. Three days with tent and backpack!
What was so great about it?
We had to carry little because nice people in the hostel accommodated our other things!
It is really spring here! In the small suburbs, it smells so good of lilacs, roses and and...
The bird singing is so unique! (Like in the swimming pool, only for real :D)
There are lianas here, the Blue Mountain Gum which grows 5m every year, fern trees and actually pretty much no plant species that we know from home.
Kakadus walk through the front gardens here and campfires with eucalyptus wood/leaves smell delightful!
Back at the hostel, we were warmly welcomed.
At Aldi (!! ) we bought kangaroo meat, cheaper than pork here. Quite a unique taste (very low fat, wild-like) but definitely worth a try!
Tonight we're going dancing and on Friday we're going to Melbourne by rental car...
