Whitsundays

Hey guys, I have neglected my blog in the past few days. So tonight I'll pull an all-nighter. Just kidding, it's only eight o'clock in the evening. But because we experienced something so beautiful yesterday, I'm writing another entry right away.

We were in the Whitsundays! It was so beautiful that words can't describe it. Even the pictures don't do it justice. But I hope they can give you a glimpse of it. The Whitsunday Island is truly paradise!

So let's start from the beginning. We took a boat, no, let me correct that. We took a very fast boat! 😅 We went to the Whitsundays from Airlie Beach. During a short walk, thanks to some viewpoints, we had a great view of the Whitsundays. White sandy beaches, turquoise blue water, indescribable!

Then it got serious and we went snorkeling. What a fun experience!

The Whitsundays are home to the famous Great Barrier Reef. It's huge and stretches all the way up to Cairns. Thanks to the clear water, we could immediately spot the corals. It was simply fascinating. We also saw many different fish. So many that I couldn't even count them. Our highlight while snorkeling was definitely a giant sea turtle. It made our day in every way. It just swam past us, all the way to the water's surface, to take a deep breath. Guys, it was just so beautiful.

After this nature experience, we went to the famous Whitehaven Beach.

We still need to practice taking pictures while snorkeling. But we definitely had a good laugh when we saw the pictures for the first time.
