🫨This morning at 7 o'clock we set off towards the Adriatic, more precisely to the Gulf of Trieste. We grabbed breakfast from the bakery around the corner. Very good 👍
First, we crossed the border into Trieste and explored the city including the harbor.
Fortunately, we were quite early, making parking and traffic quite relaxed.
Beautiful buildings along the promenade including a water canal and one row behind it. Only the cruise ships were a bother.😬
Further back: Well...
The city looks most beautiful from above.😅
Cappuccino and ice cream were a must and they were also super delicious.
Around noon, we went a bit further down the coast and back to Slovenia. This is a tripoint here, as Croatia is also not far away.😎
But our destination was Piran. A charming little town on the Adriatic. Truly a piece of Italy in Slovenia. Twisted alleys and the buildings look and feel like Italy.
But really a lovely little coastal gem. We were lucky with the parking space and then strolled through the alleys in 32 degrees, made 2 drink stops, and enjoyed the views.
Really beautiful and incredibly warm!
After a delicious plate of Frutti del Mare, we walked to the car during the sunset and drove back to Bled.
We were back by 10:30 PM!
Beautiful excursion!
Stay tuned!
