Day 2 - Departure to Løkken

The night was calm and restful, but we were awoken very roughly because once again it was pouring down and there was also a violent thunderstorm, so we had to move to the car on the spur of the moment. Around 11 o'clock it stopped raining temporarily, we packed up our things as quickly as possible, which we managed to do, so we only had to pay and then we could make our way to Denmark. When we paid, we realized that a night in a hotel would probably have been cheaper than a night at this campsite, and it was also not particularly clean... around 1 o'clock we then set off towards Løkken. There we wanted to visit Jeroen's parents and spend a night. The car journey was once again adventurous, as it was pouring down rain, so the travel speed was mostly limited to under 80 km/h. Otherwise, we didn't see anything, even though the windshield wiper was running at full speed. It was just disgusting and everything was wet. We longed for some sun. But it didn't get any better in Denmark either, and after our arrival at the holiday home, we had to start the oven, and that in the so-called midsummer... So that we could at least see the sea on that day, we made our way to the beach. To get to the beach, we had to go down the most dangerous stairs I have ever seen in my life. This so-called 'staircase' was wobbly and consisted of a few makeshift rungs tied together with a rope. Where something was missing, a broken euro pallet was laid down. In Germany, something like this would probably be considered at risk of collapse and would be closed off.

The walk on the beach rewarded the climbing exercise.

After this long day, a hot shower, and a delicious dinner, we fell tiredly into bed.
