Once around the world

My dream of sailing around the world is about to come true. I have had this dream for a long time and now finally have the time, the suitable ship, and the route on which I will discover new things and see familiar places again.

For me, there was never any other way to circumnavigate the world than by a ship, as the sea impresses me. Its infinite expanse, the changing colors, and the feeling of slowly slipping away from the hectic pace of life, I consider the most beautiful way of traveling. And all this without transportation issues with luggage, but with many amenities on board and the onboard language being English!

Therefore, I am looking forward to the next few months and the many places and landscapes I will visit. I once counted that there will be a total of 42 places in 26 countries. So, I will have a lot to see and have put together an interesting travel program in the past few weeks. In doing so, I came across names that I have never heard before, such as 'Nuku´alofa', which is the capital and the seat of government of the Oceanian Kingdom of Tonga in the Pacific. However, I am also curious about the transformation of cities like Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Cape Town, which I will surely hardly recognize after 30 years.

Therefore, I would like to share my impressions and experiences and of course my numerous photos with you on this blog, and I would be happy if you checked in every now and then.
