10.3 Santiago
Last Sunday, on my way to Apulia, I made a stop in Nazare. I was there with parts of the Nördlinger Gang for a week in November. The fuel was almost empty, but every gas station was packed with cars. However, in the countryside, I found one where it was not crowded. The next morning, everything was clear, and the fuel prices also skyrocketed in Portugal.
War is shitty, but I'll leave it at that.
This morning, in good weather, we distributed some balls, but towards the end, it started to get windy and drizzly.
My next journey towards home will take me to Bilbao tomorrow. Art, culture, and Gonzo & Gebi, two Nördlinger punk buddies, just arrived there. That's perfect. From tomorrow, I've booked the same hotel for 2 days, it will be thirsty.
Google informed me that my country trip passes through Santiago de Compostela.
In the afternoon, the weather got creepier. After 4 hours of constant rain, I arrived. It's almost an hour's walk from the campsite to the cathedral, provided you can find it. Somehow, nobody lives there. At least not where I wandered around. Soaked and couldn't even find the small hidden entrance. 100 gates, all closed. No pilgrims, no signposts, no shells. Kau.
Then I lit 3 candles.
One for my starter,
one for la familia and all friends and companions,
and one against this fucking war and for peace.
When I came out again, there was a rain hole for an hour, no joke. And despite a quick visit to the bar, I came back to my bus halfway dry. Since then, it's been raining again, but heavily.
A good sign for everything? Hopefully. Good night.
