So today is the first real stage. The good news is that it stayed dry and the sun even made an appearance during the day.
Most of the route did not go along the open Baltic Sea, but along the Flensburg Fjord, but at varying distances. It was also quite up and down and some of the climbs were tough. However, they were never particularly long, so they were not a big problem. In Langballigau (hopefully everyone knows where that is) we met my friend Rainer, who happened to be on holiday in the region. It almost didn't work out because of a misunderstanding about the agreed meeting point. His attempts to reach me failed because my cell phone had no signal (never again an e-network!!!). So we waited for him for quite a long time (he also came by bike) and then finally set off again. And then it came towards us. One more word about the wind: it blew quite strongly - but often from behind. But beware if it came from the front...
At around 4:00 p.m. we arrived in Kappeln after 76 km. And the gaps in the clouds are getting bigger and bigger...
