My cold didn't allow for anything else today than to take a day off. After all, we have already had 3 weeks with many different activities behind us. There was always action even on the ship. Shore excursions alternated with visits to scientific lectures. So today we took it very calmly and explored the area around our accommodation. From here you have an excellent view of the national park with the Torres. You can also observe the wildlife very well. Guanacos (which look very similar to llamas), swans with black heads and necks, foxes that are chased away by older guanacos, and many different bird species.
I like these guanacos. They are not shy at all and very curious. Unlike deer, for example, these animals radiate extreme calmness.
There is no internet on the estancia (farm), which contributes to the deceleration.
Tomorrow we will continue, we will make a detour to El Calafate in Argentina. There is the famous Perito Moreno Glacier, which advances a few centimeters every day. Therefore, you can observe the calving of the glacier very frequently. We are excited.
