55 to Boppard

Byatangajwe: 07.06.2023

🇬🇧 English version below

Tour data: Distance 95.3 kilometers, Ø 18.4 km/h (I walked often), travel time 5:08 hours

Weather: Right at the beginning it rained lightly, but hardly noticeable. Cloudy with sun and practically no wind

During today's tour, a lot of thoughts went through my head again and I've already formulated the finished text. And now I wonder where they all went. Just disappeared without a trace! So I start again from scratch.

The beginning of today's bike tour was quite hilly. This is also where most of the 400 meters of altitude difference that I made today come from. And it ended up going downhill. At Komoot someone wrote: 'You need good brakes here'. And do I still have it after more than 4,000 kilometers? I'd rather walk down there to protect the brakes.

My eBike has rear wheel suspension that works with air. Today I had the feeling again that I had to add air. It was supposed to be 15 bar, but it was under 10. So get off, look for a pump and pump until there is enough air in it - quite exhausting! But the result counts! It helped.

At 9:42 a.m. I reached the Rhine. From here there is often a beautiful cycle path along the Rhine. From time to time, however, you have to make a small detour because the bank is blocked or you have to drive through a place.

All the way along the Rhine one beautiful place lies next to the next. I had to take a lot of photos today, I liked today's route so much. But I'm not the only one who wants to see that. This is obviously a popular section for cyclists, I've never met so many touring cyclists outside of cities.

Please look at the photos and you will also get a small insight into the many objects worth seeing. By the way, on Komoot you can always see exactly where I took the photo.
