One thing a driver on Sardinia learns quickly: you have to drive at least 30 km/h faster than the road sign says, otherwise you will be pushed from behind by an impatient Italian... No problem 😌
In the morning, the pool was the place to be and in the afternoon, after our "lunch buffet" (which consists of fruit, nuts, olives and pane carasau - crispy thin flatbread), we drove along a beautiful winding road to Olivastri Millenari di Santo Baltolu at Lago di Liscia.
There, by the lake, stand ancient gnarled olive trees, the oldest of which is estimated to be almost 4000 years old - they were there long before the Roman Empire!
