Today, hairstyle and co didn't matter at all (we still looked great - at least until we sat on the beach or were in the water): we went to the beach and nowhere else (no detours, no 3000 markets, nothing... just the beach).
As we planned yesterday, we chose Main Beach as our destination. It is (as it should be) quite crowded, but the sea was a dream for swimming: gentle waves (according to Matthes 'like in the Baltic Sea' - cheekiness: we're swimming in the Pacific and he's comparing it to the Baltic Sea... pfff), light breeze and life around us, which allowed us to observe the human zoo in the most uninhibited way 😉
Ursula even went in the sea twice today: once alone, including waves slapping her bottom (she got up laughing and everything is still intact on her) and once between Matthes and me, including two big frontal waves, without a bottom slap, but with a friendly smile, which was rewarded with a mouthful of seawater...
A few annoying jellyfish showed up in the afternoon, but it's not a big deal - it stings for a moment and then it's okay after a few minutes.
So today everything was very unpretentious, but with a heavy heart, because even though tomorrow is Australia Day and everyone here is excited, our vacation is almost over...
... we already celebrated that tonight at dinner at Mooshka with sangria and again with our leftover beer (4 Pines Pale Ale) on the terrace overlooking the starry sky and the sound of the Pacific in the background...
The next tenants of our charming beach house can enjoy a beach umbrella and a beach chair (and the hardware store can stick it) - maybe more people will do the same as us, that was the only thing we missed here.
With the sound of the sea, we're off to the enchanted forest now - good night to you all!
