We started our day by going to the train station and buying four train tickets for tomorrow because we want to experience Myanmar's allegedly most beautiful train route. Afterwards, we walked to the former palace. Although it has been completely rebuilt after being completely destroyed in World War II, it was still interesting to visit. From there, we took a taxi to a viewpoint. From here, we had a beautiful view of the city. We walked down the mountain via a long staircase that led through many temples and then to the largest book in the world. However, it is not to be imagined as a classic book but as over 600 small white pagodas. Each one contains a stone-carved page.
After exploring the extraordinary book, we were pretty exhausted from the heat and returned to the hostel. It was really fun to explore the city here as a group of four today.
