Good morning from the reception bench😎.. (elsewhere the WIFI is very slow...)
That's why the posts are a bit slow at the moment...
Yesterday we were on the largest sand island in the world, Fraser Island...
Our guide Greg and our 4 fellow travelers from New Zealand and Australia were fantastic!
It was a very challenging drive with high sand dunes and extreme sand tracks with deep holes that demanded everything from the driver!
The catering during the tour was very well organized and we had enough time to visit spots like Lake McKenzie, the Maheno shipwreck, and many more...
Driving on the 75 Mile Beach at almost 100km/h while airplanes were landing next to the runway was extremely awesome!
The best quote from the guide during the ferry crossing was... "Please be careful with the dingoes" - they are wild on the island and dangerous!!
Oh, but I meant this sentence!
"We have 26 different snake species on the island, and 5 of them are NOT venomous🤪🙈🙈🙈....
Also, please do not lean against trees, as there is an extreme number of funnel-web spiders!!!
Well, we didn't see any this time... Luckily!
Today we are continuing our journey to the north towards Rockhampton!
Enjoy the pictures
