lun@ix is back on tour, this time in northeastern Germany, where we are planning to travel by water and land (as usual on two wheels) from the Mecklenburg Lakes to the Baltic Sea to Rügen and Greifswald. We had a comfortable start with the evening flight to Berlin. Berlin is always worth a visit, especially in the summer, and we wanted to take advantage of the culinary diversity before heading to more rural areas where home-cooked meals are more common. So after an evening walk along the Spree, we enjoyed a delicious meal at a Cambodian restaurant called "Ankor Wat," and that was it for now.
The next day, we had to buy a few items for the next two weeks, such as rain gear and pants for cycling, sunglasses, etc. Shopping in Berlin is always a pleasant experience. After strolling around the Tiergarten and enjoying an "Eisbecher" (ice cream sundae), it was time to go to the monumental Berlin Hauptbahnhof for our journey to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which we won't soon forget.
