We spent the last few days relaxing. We enjoyed the sea ๐ and the peace and quiet.
We also had a trip to the bigger city of Split on the agenda, but it didn't last very long because it was quite hot at 35 degrees ๐ โ๏ธ
Split has a very beautiful medieval old town with many charming narrow lanes. And souvenir shops. Ice cream stand. Souvenir shop. Ice cream stand. Unfortunately, these beautiful places are always very touristy. The fact that cruise ships stop in Split doesn't make it any better.
This caused the little price inspector (Gianna) to collapse almost completely due to the horrendous prices ๐ด (Gianna's favorite activity: comparing food prices in Switzerland and Croatia)๐ค
We optimistically started our journey to Dubrovnik, our southernmost destination, today.
Suddenly there was customs. A small coastal stretch on the way south is actually on Bosnian territory ๐ง๐ฆ. Of course, we have nothing to declare, no weapons/drugs/tobacco/nothing - nada. And of course, they didn't believe us ๐
My dad warned me, leave the knife at home, you'll definitely be checked ๐ After our camper van was more or less thoroughly searched, we had to wait because the drug-sniffing dog was coming! ๐ We were looking forward to the little dog!
But unfortunately, after 15 minutes, our passports were handed back to us - it was too hot for the dog (too hot for the dog) ๐ฉ
After that, everything went well - well, for the next 10 minutes through Bosnia until the whole ordeal started all over again at the Croatian border! But the Croats didn't have a dog again !!!
But now we're finally here and staying at the Solitudo Camping in Dubrovnik.
