Of course, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to surf and had booked a private lesson (or rather two) for the morning. Our teacher Johnny, a native of Israel and in Australia for a few months, took us to the surf spot, which was already well attended.
After a short introduction, we were allowed to get on the board, where we rode both small and larger waves. It was pretty tiring, but it was a lot of fun and definitely wasn't our last time.
Due to the brutal heat, we went to the hardware store to get a parasol, which saved us the afternoon on the beach and protected us from third-degree burns.
In the evening we went into the town, which was really cool with lots of little shops and restaurants. We had tacos and ice cream before we went to bed - dead tired from the morning's exertions.
