4th September, Day 11 - Graeagle

Byatangajwe: 06.09.2022

After a rather cool night, we were awakened on Sunday with chorales and at half past eight there was a hearty breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit and vegetables prepared for us by Baur and Shelly.

Afterwards, we get to hear a few tenor horn sounds from Jana and Basti, before we leave by bus shortly after 9:30 am for the starting point of a small hike. Our destination is Salmon Lake, but we want to make a stop at Frazier Falls.

After a few hundred meters uphill on foot and in quite hot weather, considering the prospect of a still quite long distance ahead of us, we decide to continue by bus. Then we hike to Frazier Falls, but we have to realize that they are currently not carrying any water - disappointing.
Then the waterfall has to be conjured into the picture using Photoshop.

Then we continue by bus to Salmon Lake, where parking is an adventure in itself. But the lake is a welcome refreshment.
Since we cannot stay there for long, we make another stop at another lake on the way back to the campsite.

Then we go to the campsite for lunch. Pete grilled meat and vegan patties, Shelly cooked side dishes, and we are all excited about her cooking skills.

At 3:30 pm, we head back to Graeagle in traditional costumes for our next and final performance of the concert tour: at RONIN, a brewery. The people here are actually here because of us and are looking forward to listening to us and joining in. The first hour is quite exhausting, as the sun is shining directly in our faces and is scorching hot. But then it disappears behind the trees and the performance goes really well.

Afterwards, we have another opportunity to talk to our audience, hold an open Q&A session, and are then invited to pizza and fresh, cool drinks in the brewery hall. Around 9:30 pm, we head back to the campsite and enjoy our last evening there.
