Day 5

We left our accommodation early today to spend time in Te Anau with a hike in Fiordland. We had a beautiful hike on the Kepler Track. There was a calm atmosphere with moist but very good air 🌳🌿🌱 We took one of the shorter routes as we were going on a boat to an island in the afternoon.

There, we went on a cave tour and marveled at thousands of glowworms in the darkness 🐛 Our guide maneuvered the small boat through ropes on the cave walls to avoid making any noise 🤫 This was a unique experience that we will not forget anytime soon. Especially Jan - he often had to duck his head during the subsequent cave tour on foot 🚶🏼‍♂️
